Sleek Flash "a" Pout Lipstain Review.. Thots, Swatches,Pictures...

Hi Everyone,

So i will be reviewing some of the sleek products i received in the goody bag i posted about yesterday. I've been itching to post!! I already gave a little gist about the products and how i got them so il go straight into this post.

Every girl and their mummy knows Sleek cosmetics. They have been around for the longest time.. Honestly, the only products i have from them are their super successful eye shadow palettes that every girl has.. I also have some lip glosses that i purchased from Ghana a few years ago and that's it.

Sleek is a household name when it comes to makeup and i was really excited when i received these lip stains. I have never been a fan of liquid lipsticks because i feel they are just too much hassle and pls why not just get a lipsticks already. Now i understand the reason for lip stains. The formulation is very different from that of a lipstick. They are meant to save you the hastle of reapplying and touch ups through out the day.

The Sleek Flash "a" Pouts are fantastic. I could say that a 100 times. They are super matte, super pigmented, long lasting and i mean this with all my heart.. They last all day long.. I'm talking 6-8 hrs straight. They are a teeny bit drying but i think that is the reason i am absolutely in love with these. ( I never thought i would say that).

These lip stains come in a clear glass case with a mirror on the side and an LED light on the top. How coooool is that. I believe that was the inspiration for the name. I have never seen any lip products with a built in light and i was so amazed i just kept clicking away. You can totally apply these in the dark too. Just pop on the light and flip the mirror to your side... Sleek Slayed this...

So on to the products...
FORBIDDEN- This is a matte brick red shade.
NAIVETY: Matte Neon Pink
REVOLUTION: Matte Bright orange.
COINED- Shimmery peachy gold color.
SIREN: Matte retro red color
DUKE: Matte dark purple/berry color.

FORBIDDEN- I honestly wasn't expecting to like this color .I thought it was a "granny red". It is a very mature colr I absolutely love it and its the best color for me of the whole bunch. Looks can be deceiving.

NAIVETY- This is a matte Neon Barbie Pink color. Oh how i love pink. I love pink in all shades.. This one is not for the faint hearted oo. It is bright and gorgeous. Every skin tone can rock this color.. Dont be scared/.. ;)

REVOLUTION- This is a matte Bright orange. I never thought i would own an orange lipcolor this bright. This color is soooo fine. It screams high fashion to me. You know like something you would see on those models  in vogue magazine posing with a fierce pout and some bright lips. It totally brightened up my face. Gorgeousness.

DUKE- This is a matte dark purple/berry color. Honestly, i like this color but applying it was a little issue. I would apply one layer, smack my lips together to even out quickly before it dried and the color would transfer from my bottom to top lip. ;s I dont know why as i didn't have the same issue with the others. I'l keep trying with this gurly right here because i really like the color.

COINED- This is a shimmery peachy gold color. It is sheer and not as pigmented as the others. I would wear this if i was going for a full shimmery night time glam look.

SIREN- This is a matte retro red color. It can also be described as an orangey red. I like this a lot and i will substitute this with my other red lipsticks from now on. It is so sexy and long lasting. No need for touch ups too.

Overall, i love these.. I mean SLEEK did a fantastic job with this. I am so happy i received them and i believe these will be wildly successful in Nigeria. The concept behind the line is great. The formulation and packaging are targeted at saving time and all the extras( LED light, mirror) just make it an all round fantastic product. I absolutely recommend this to everyone. Go get it guys you will love them if you are a matte lippie lady.

NB: I skipped out on the Glow shine even though i included it in the group pic... Il do a separate post about it. I just wanted this to be about the GIRLS..

My favorite colors are: Forbidden, Naivety and Revolution. Whats are yours?

House of TARA Makeup Haul.. Reviews,Photos,Swatches

NEFERTITI- Gorgeous bright red lipgloss .
TIYE- Dark berry color with tons of micro glitter.
 KAHINA- Matte Beigey Nude lipstain.
NSA- Creamy Vivid Lavender lip color.
ADERE- Hot Fuschia Pink.
  TAKUERE- Bright Purple.
 OVIALEKE

Hi Guys! Hope you had a great week!
If you follow me on Instagram you know that ive been itching to post this since last week. I did a little makeup shopping at the TARA Launch and i was very happy with the products i picked up.

I posted all about the launch and shared photos of the event and all that good stuff in an earlier post. To check that out click HERE.

So il get straight into it..I purchased:
TARA High Shine Lipstain - NEFERTITI
TARA High Shine Lipstain - KAHINA
TARA High Shine Lipstain - TIYE
TARA Matte Lipcolor - NSA
 TARA Lip pencil - TAKUERE
TARA Lip pencil - ADERE
TARA Eyeshadow Trio- OVIALEKE
LIPSTAINS: These are more like liquid lipsticks. The formulations of these vary in the sense that some  are still glossy after application and some dry to a matte finish. I really like these a lot. Kahina and Nefertiti both dry to a matte finish but they are not drying. They do not settle into the lips and are very long lasting too Tiye is such a pretty gloss. It is a vamp berry lipgloss with a lot of color pay off. I love how it is packed with glitter in it but  not in a tacky way. . There are a lot of different colors and i am loving them all. Hope to get my hands on some more soon.

I would have liked if the finish of the products were described before you buy so you know exactly what you are getting. Unless you swatch them in store of course.

LIPSTICK:I picked up NSA and i love the formula of this lipstick. I am a Matte lipstick girl but these go on so creamy and the color is so vibrant. Its like an Amplified cream(forgive the MAC'y terminology) This color reminded me of MAC Riri boy and i was just drawn to it. It brightens up the face and would go with a ton of different makeup looks. Its also wearable without a lip pencil but if i was to use one i would use TARA Adere with this.

LIP PENCILS: The TARA pencils are so cute. When i wanted to start my purchasing these were actually the first things i picked up. I have a ton of lip pencils but no true pinks and purples and i was so happy i got them. They can double as lipsticks too as they are so creamy and pigmented. Love the sleek packaging of them too..

EYE SHADOW: I have wanted this eye shadow trio for the longest time. First time i saw it in action a a makeup artist used it on my friend to a wedding and the deep purple color was just catching the light. I told myself i had to own this. There is a gold, a deep plum amd a bronze color. They look like a satin formula to me. I have been using this since i got it and it is now permanently in my everyday makeup purse and i love it.

WHERE TO PURCHASE: Tara Studio.. Centro Mall Admiralty way Lekki or JUMIA.

That's my review on the products i picked up.. Hope to get some more soon. Does anyone have any of these? What do you think of them?

Have a great weekend guys!

Sigma Individual Brushes E35 & P88 Review, Photos..

E35- TAPERED BLENDING
P88- PRECISION FLAT ANGLED

 Hi Guys!!
So i bought my first sigma brushes recently. Whoop! Ive heard so many great things about their brushes and i even fell in love with them before i tried them. Na wa.. Every beauty page i go to i either see a SIGMA banner or i hear it on youtube.. Their brushes are just in your face you cannot avoid them no matter how much you try.

Every beauty fiend wants a Sigma brush essential set!! Honestly i've wanted one for the past two years ooo. If you check my Wishlist for 2012 and 2013 you shall find them there looking all pretty but to buy them is another story. Call me stingy but they are quite pricy.. I just cant bring myself to buy them yet. *sigh*

My dear friend's at MYMAKEUPNG stock the individual sigma brushes for a fair price and i was able to pick two up to try them out and get the feel of them.. I purchased :

Unique Feature: Small, dense and flat angled head
Function: Precise contouring
Recommended Use: Use for precise application of concealer products anywhere on the face. Works particularly well around the eyes and nose.
Bristle Type: Synthetic Sigmax®

E35- TAPERED BLENDING
P88- PRECISION FLAT ANGLED

Unique Feature: Longer, slightly firm bristles
Function: Controlled application of crease color
Recommended Use: Using just the tip of the brush to pick up color, apply product directly onto the crease and sweep through. Effect is blended, but defined.

E35- I have been on the hunt for a great blending brush. I use CALA crease brush which i have had for the longest time and works wonders but i always had my eye out for this one. I hear it is similar to the MAC 224 brush which people swear but MAC brushes are too damn pricy.
I like this brush because it is very easy to use. It is very soft and fluffy and evenly distributes the eyeshadow on the crease. It gets rid of harsh lines and i have experienced no shedding whatsoever.I have washed this brush twice and not one strand of hair came out. Thats great quality if you ask me. This is a great brush if you want to apply a wash of color to your crease and also do some eyeshadow layering. I absolutely love this brush and it is a must have ladies.
Ok one thing i dont like is the fact that the brush is white and shows up stain but i guess i can live with that..

P88- This brush is such a great brush. I use it to apply concealer under my eyes and around the corners of my nose. It gets in there and gets the job done. I like that it has a firm grip too. I also  use this to cover up spots on my face and contour . It doesn't shed and the bristles are super soft .

PRICE: N2700 ..

Im really enjoying the two brushes i picked up and i am definitely interested in getting some more.. Also face brushes too. Let me know your favourites guys ..

Thanks for Stopping by!!

February Favourites!!

Hi Guys!!
So last month i started my monthly favourite series and im back with my favourites for February.
My favourites here dont neccesarily mean the best products iown but those that i reached for most in the past month because i havent been showing them much love or those that i just found myelf gravitating towards. Also, those new products i just got and have been trying out.. say last two weeks of the month..
This system helps me rotate the products in my makeup bag because we all know how easy it is to purchase a product and just forget about it until you rummage through your makeup stash and find it. This has happened to me a lot of times guys and i have bought the same lipstick twice because of this.

 So here goes..

Top row
Mac Mineralize Skinfinish in Medium Deep-  I purchased this powder because i needed something lightweight to set my face with. After i tried this powder ,i have pushed all others to the back burner. It is a good powder. Not Fantastic o but it helps set your foundation and doesnt make your face look cakey.
Bath and Body works body mist in Amber blush- I am a huge scent lover and anytime i travel i love to stock up on these. They are really cheap and smell great. I love to layer it on then top off with my perfume of choice. Of all the ones i have i reached for this most in Feb.

Mac Lipstick in Flat out Fabulous- This lipstick i forced myself to wear because ever since i got it i hadn't worn it. I absolutely love the color . It's not too bright and suitable for both work and outings.

Mac Lipstick in Creme cup- I got this a long time ago and it has suffered from great abandonement from me. This is a light pinky nude color suitable for day and night time. I liek how it gives a wash of color to my lips and is longlasting. I think cremesheens are my second best formulas.

Rimmell Lipstick in Pink Blush- This lipstick i bought because i heard it was a great dupe for the Mac Viva glam gaga 1 that i never got.  Light gorgeous pink color suitable for every day wear.

Mac Foundation in NC45- This foundation i absolutely love but gave a rest after i got the Black Up one. I went back to it this month and it was a staple in my makeup bag. I wear this at work and it doesnt feel or look heavy at all.

CHANEL Coco Mademoiselle Perfume- Now this perfume is what i call a "WOMAN PERFUME".. I like to wear it when i dont feel like smelling of flower or fruit. It is a lovely mature female scent and i believe every woman should have this.. Or lady transitioning into a woman.. I love it!

Bottom row

Mac Brown script eyeshadow- Im sure if this eyeshadow had eyes and could talk it would side eye me and scream for everytime i picked it up last month. I had been on the hunt for it for so long and when i got it i made it my business to rock the life out of it. It is the best transition color ever . If you do not have this and you are an eyeshadow girl i suggest you get this quickly. You wont regret it.

Mac Paint pot in Painterly-  This eyeshadow base is my new best friend. I have abandoned all my eyeshadow bases for this baby. It has knocked them out the park. I did a review of this earlier. Kindly check it out

Loreal Gel eyeliner- My new trustie eyeliner. I used to be a liquid liner lover but i have fallen for this. I initially disliked it but i found the reason for that was because i didnt have a good eyeline brush to use wit it. Now i have and its great.

Mac Nightmoth lip pencil- I just had to buy this lip pencil to ifnd out what all the noise was about. I threw this in my makeup purse and made sure to use it and i like it a lot. It is a beautiful lipliner and great for ombre lips.

Sigma E35 Blending brush- This brush is great and gives a wash of color to the crease. It is great for building transition colors.

Mac DEELIGHT cremesheen glass- This is a lovely pinky color. Similar to Partial to pink but a little darker. I throw this on when i dont want to wear lipstick.

Real Techniques expert face brush - I have not been loving my real techniques stippling brush at all. It makes my makeup streaky and just all round terrible. I have to use a makeup sponge to smoothen it out after every application. Does this happen to other people or just me pls? That brushis awwwful!! I started using my expert face because of this and i dont know why i didnt just buy this one and avoid the other. I also use this tp set my face with powder.i have no complaints whatsoever with it. Its a really great  dual brush.

Those are my Favs for February guys!! Hope you enjoyed my post.
