Hi Guys,
A few days ago my dear friend Shalewa who owns the popular online store BEAUTYKINK sent me a BBM on the launch of her new store/beauty centre in Lekki. I was super excited and couldn't wait to visit and share some sneak peeks on the blog before the official launch.

Over the past year or two, Beauty Kink has been steady providing Nigerians quick and easy access to the best makeup products from both indigenous and international makeup brands nationwide. So far, their track record has been nothing short of excellent. Delivery is quick and all the products get to me in great condition. I am so glad there is a walk in store now for people like me who like a more hands on experience with products before purchasing. I must say i really enjoyed spending time at the store, swatching products i wasn't so sure about purchasing online and even discovering some new ones. Oh and chit chatting too!! *wink*

When i walked into the store, i was very impressed with the layout and the way the products are displayed. There are cute little stands holding products in different categories. I really liked the highlighting stand and the liquid lipstick stand. It houses all the prime liquid lipsticks and i went crazy checking them out and comparing colors.  My hands where full of swatches when i was done i didn't want to clean it off. :D .The store is also pretty spacious and can hold a good number of people at a time. The ambiance is really cool and i like that you can easily spot a product without having to look around too hard. Oh and i love the lighting too. There is also the cutest chandelier!! LOL. Had to take a pic of it!

Beauty Kink will also be providing makeup services and there is a cute little section for customers to come and get their makeup done for weddings and parties and also leave with some makeup too.

The store officially opens on the 1st of September 2015 so head over and get shopping guys!! Everything you want for your makeup from start to finish from  Becca Primers, ABH Liquid lipsticks, Lorac Palettes, NYX Lipsticks, Face Powders, Eyekandy glitters, BDellium brushes and Eyelashes? What's not to love!

LOCATION: Davida Mall, Opposite Ebeano Supermarket, Admiralty Road, Lekki Phase 1, Lagos. I love that the store is right in the heart of Lekki and super easy to locate.

I got a few items from the store and i will share my purchases in another post.

Hearty Congratulations to Beauty Kink on their expansion!! I am so proud of the blooming beauty business in Nigeria.

Thanks for Stopping by!!

WHAT L.A GIRL SAYS: Crease-resistant, opaque coverage in a creamy yet lightweight texture. The long-wearing formula camouflages darkness under the eyes, redness and skin imperfections. Provides complete, natural-looking coverage, evens skin tone, covers dark circles and minimizes fine lines around the eyes. This blendable and buildable formula provides the ultimate, customizable coverage. This must-have concealer includes a soft brush-tip for easy application.

-Camouflages the appearance of skin imperfections
-Evens out skin tone
-Covers dark circles
-Minimizes fine lines
-Provides customizable coverage

DAZZLEBEAUTIE: Color correcting is great but first you have to know if you need it and how to use it. If you have dark circles under your eyes, spots, redness and discoloration, then you probably do. Diff colors neutralize other colors especially skin related problems.

Orange concealers  cancel out darkness. This can be seen under the eyes after applying foundation on dark circles. This usually leaves a grey cast and does not look great guys. Use this to help cancel out darkness and spots.

Green concealers cancel out redness on the face from pimples or irritation.Used to neutralize red tones on the skin. Use this for covering blemishes, zits, red blotches

Yellow concealers cancel out purple.Used to conceal bluish bruises, under-eye circles and mild red tones on the face.

Now i have gotten that out of the way, i can say i really like the LA Girl color correcting shades. The formula is same as the regular concealers, they go on great and they really cover up discoloration and redness. This is very opaque and does not budge when you blend it in propoerly. I must say the orange color can be a little too strong for me but i use this with a very light hand. My overall makeup looks flawless and my under eye circles don't pop out anymore. I now use less concealers under my eyes and haven't had that cakey under eye makeup thanks to this.

PRICE: N1200

Do you use this? How well do you like it? Let me know what you think guys.

Hi Guys,

I apologize for the slow posting these days. I have been extremely caught up with life but i'm not going anywhere. So have we noticed how Highlighters are suddenly all the rage now? The GLOW life is a very serious business o!! I have been a long time faithful to my MAC Gold deposit but all these gorgeous new highlighters from different companies keep catching my eye. BUT THOSE PRICES?? From N6K-12K?? For a Highlight? I keep wondering when  highlighters became more expensive than foundations? Anyway i Digress... Moving on...

I have a couple decent highlighters and i came across a review on the ELF Baked highlighters. There are three in the collection and i thought the one called 'BLUSH GEMS" was right up my alley so i picked it up.

WHAT ELF SAYS: Create a radiant glow with this illuminating powder that highlights the skin with a sheer wash of shimmering color. Infused with Vitamin E, Jojoba, Sunflower, Apricot and Grape to nourish and hydrate the skin. The long-lasting baked shimmering color can be applied wet for a vibrant effect or dry for sheer pigmentation.

DAZZLEBEAUTIE: This color is a shimmery icy rose gold with pink tones. The packaging is very cute and sturdy. It is little but the product will last you a long time. I noticed there was no fallout with this and no chunky glitter . I  had no problems with the color showing up beautifully on the places in placed it. What i like to do is spray my fan brush or flat powder brush with some face setting spray before applying this.It really makes the product pop more. I have been using this for a few weeks now and i am really impressed with it. The staying power is also great. You don't have to worry about your highlight not blinding after a few hours! HAAA :D Oh and LADIES!!! Pls go easy with your highlighting oo. We don't want to end up looking like a Disco Ball. That is not the plan. A fan brush is your best friend. :D

Hope you liked my review guys. If you are looking for a great highlight without breaking the bank this is your bestie!! ;)

Spice Cake-Deep Plum
Funnel Delight-Hot Pink
Toasted Marshmallow-Mauve Purple
Chocolate Crepe-Deep Beige
Hello Guys!

I saw these lip glosses on Instagram and i just had to get some. I was super impressed. I was most interested in the shade Tres Leches which is a gorgeous pinky nude which i was quickly obsessed with and i still haven't been able to get my handson. I have been hunting these down for a few weeks and i was able to get my hands on four of the twelve colors available.

WHAT NYX SAYS: Smother your lips with a silky gloss bursting with color! Our Intense Butter Gloss has the same mouth-watering texture and scent of the original formula with even more color payoff in 12 new delectable shades.

DAZZLE BEAUTIE: I absolutely love this product. It's just like the NYX Butter glosses which were a smash hit but with a lot more pigment. The color payoff is amazing and it feels so soft on the lips.  These lip glosses are easy to apply, not patchy and are super long lasting. The colors are just super bright and gives off an amazing shine. You can definitely wear this alone as one swipe will color your lips even if they are super dark. It smells amazing and the packaging is very handy. Similar to the butter glosses but with a metallic screw cap top. It also doesn't hurt that the names are super cute too. LOL

I cannot say enough great things about these. I AM IN LOOOOOVE!!!!'They are all pretty and i cant wait to get Tres Leches(I'M A NUDE FREAK), Napoleon, Sorbet and Berry Strudel.

WHERE TO BUY: I got 3 of these from KONGA and Chocolate Crepe from ACCESSORIESNG.

PRICE: N2500
