Riri hearts MAC Riri Woo and Who's that Chick Review and Swatches

RIRIWOO, RUBYWOO ..... same thiiiiiiiiing...
Hi Guys,

How is everyone doing?? A few weeks ago i finally gave in and purchased some of the RIRI hearts MAC lipsticks. After watching two sets pass me by and saying i would not give into the whole hype which i really didnt anyway, i finally purchased two lipsticks in RIRI WOO and WHOS THAT CHICK. I actually purchased them because of the packaging but now i must say i am really happy i purchased these.

MAC Claims: Colour plus texture for the lips that made MAC famous. Four Limited-edition shades created by Rihanna. In Retro Matte – the signature red of RiRi Woo, the dark plum of Talk that Talk and creamy cool of Nude. In Frost-the mid -tone orange of Who’s That Chick. Limited-edition RiRi ♥ M.A.C Packaging...

So, the story behind these lipsticks are Rihanna and MAC decided to come together and (take our money) by releasing four different collections.... RIRI WOO being a staple product in all the collections though which i like because it is the twinnie to Mac's most popular lipstick in my opinion and every one should get a piece *shrugs* . I guess it was in my face so much i had no choice but to buy this and im so happy i did.

RIRI WOO: This is described as a cool tone red lipstick. The finish is retro matte. This lipstick was inspired by Ruby woo its big sister because there is hardly and difference between the two expect that this is less drying and no i am not just saying that because everyone is too. The formulation of this is way better than Ruby woo. I guess that was one of the reasons why i never really liked ruby woo because i had to be extra careful with application and reapplying lip balm untop of it so my lips arent too dry. This lipstick is very pigmented and long lasting. One application is really all you need with this and you are good. I also like how it makes my teeth look whiter.

WHOS THAT CHICK: This is described as a "Mid tone orange with frost. This is also a frost finish. This lipstick was a 50/50 for me because i dont have anything like this and it reminded me of those island beauty bronze lipsticks my mum used to rock back in the day.  I was a little on the fence about this color yet drawn to it at the same time. I also do not own and frost lispticks except ANGEL which really not all that frosty. :S

This color is actually very pretty on the lips. It applies smoothly and melts into the lips giving that liquid gold look. I love love love!! I cant believe how much i love this lipstick. I will definitely be rocking this with gold eyeshadow and my gold deposit bronzer, for that super bronze effect. Uhmmm !! YES.... ;D

PACKAGING: The products in this third collection all come in a beautiful rose gold packaging with Rihanna's "R" on the front and the riri hearts mac signature. The lipstick tube itself is rose gold too. Very pretty and shiny. Some people say the packaging looks cheap but i think it is absolutley gorgeous and a strong motivation behind my purchase.

PRICE: I purchased these for N3500 on MYMAKEUPNG. I do  not know if these are still available in limited edition packaging but i know Konga.com has Riri woo. For the others, i have no idea guys...

Thanks for Stopping by!!

Hi Guys, today i will be doing a review of some lipsticks i got recently and shared a picture of on instagram. I finally got my hands on these retro matte lipsticks and have been wearing them for a while and we all know MAC does not dissapoint with their lipsticks at all.. I like every single color. They are absolutely beautiful... I purchased five out of the seven that where released. I skipped out on ALL FIRED UP and RUNWAY HIT because i felt they were colors i would really wear much..

Upon hearing these were inspired my Ruby woo, i was a little concerned because i do not like the formula of that AT ALL!!! It is very dry and a drag to apply.. LITERALY.. LOL. After reading reviews on these i found out they are less drying so i eventually gave in...

What MAC Says: Inspired by Ruby Woo's overwhelming popularity and one-of-a-kind texture, M•A•C introduces new bold shades in its Retro Matte finish. Eye-catching colours like Dangerous and All Fired Up create a look that's fiercely feminine.

RELENTLESSLY RED is described as a “bright pinkish coral matte.” As much as i like red lipsticks i am honestly not the biggest fan of them.I do not understand people's obsession with RUBY WOO. I hardly ever reach for them but this is a color i really like. It leans a little towards coral and brightens up the face. This looks like Dangerous at first glance but when swatched they look absolutely different.

STEADY GOING is described as a "light pink matte". I have so many light pink lipsticks but i cant stop buying them. Honestly, when it comes to pinks they almost always show up the same on the lips. This color is really no different from snob, or pink plaid even though it is really pretty. I love my pinks so i had to get this.

DANGEROUS is described as a “orangey red matte.” This color is very similar to lady danger and i would suggest you skip this if you already have that unless you just have to buy it or you want it for its retro matte finish or you are a collector/hoarder like me. LOL. It is also very similar to SCARLET IBIS from the Marilyn Monroe collection.

FLAT OUT FABULOUS is described as a “bright plum matte.” It’s a cool-toned, fuchsia-plum with a flat, matte finish. This color is so pretty and i like to wear it with my currant lipliner. It gives a nice gradient effect. It is comparable to Girl about town but the finish changes it a little bit.

FIXED ON DRAMA is described as a “rich wine matte.” It’s a dark, burgundy red with neutral undertones . The darkest color i have ever had is REBEL which i really like. I had been comtemplating buying smoked purple and cyber for the longest time but the colors were a little too dark fo me. I tried to get my paws on TALK THAT TALK but rihanna fans wont let up so i got this. It is a very intense wine color. The most popular color of this collection. I absolutely love it.

L-R Relentlessly Red, Steady going, Dangerous, Flat out Fabulous, Fixed on drama

So unto the three P's

PRODUCT: The formula's of these are Retromatte. Honestly i dont know the difference between the regular mattes and these. These are not as drying like Ruby woo which i really like though. They do settle into the lips a little and i advise you moisturize your lips and get rid of dead skin or your lips will look crazy. They are very pigmented and long lasting. Formula is A+

PACKAGING: Regular mac bullet shaped packaging with the name and formula type written under. Nothing special...Moving on.....

PRICE: I purchased two out of the five from the MAC STORE at Lekki for N3800. I believe they are all available... Head over there before it sells out ladies...

Hope you enjoyed this review!!
Thanks for Stopping by!!

SLEEK Blush by 3 Review "PINK SPRINT" and "LACE"

                                                                      Hello lovely people,

Today i will be reviewing some blushes that i have had for a while but had the worst time photographing. I dont know why but for everytime i chose to take pictures of these blushes they just looked wrong. Either too dark or when i used flash on them they came out looking the wrong shade.. I do not have the best camera for blogging * I use a samsung s4 to take my pictures* and it does affect the quality of my pictures but i will get a great camera hopefully soon. *fingers crossed*

Sleek is a very popular  makeup brand that has been around for a while.I believe every woman has one sleek item or the other in her makeup purse  most especially the eyeshadows palette or the sleek roll up pencil. Some people even have every single palette... My favourite is the SUNSET palette tho..... but i digress.....
I had been wanting these blushes for a while and they were not yet available in Nigeria as at when i bought them. Luckily,i was able to grab them from a store that just stocked them the day before i went. There are 6 blush sets available now but i picked up these two below....

What SLEEK SAYS: Blush by 3 is the ultimate palette offering you three times the impact in one neat little compact. With three complementary shades each designed with its own unique finish, from rich shimmers to intensely deep and bright show stopping matte shades. Heads will turn!
Blush by 3 is available in 5 unique colour combinations designed to suit all skin tones, and available in a small compact with a mirror, perfect for on-the-go application. Store in a cool dry place.

The colors in this palette really compliment each other. If you like coral pinks then this palette is definitely for you. There are two matte colors (crochet/ chantilly) and one shimmery color (Guipure) which i like to use as a highlight. This color is very similar to the Sleek "ROSE GOLD" blush which i had and broke. :'( . This is a perfect replacement.

Crochet: A matte peachy coral
Guipure: A peachy pink with gold shimmer
Chantilly: A matter pinky coral which is about two shades deeper than crochet

This palette is a great blush palette and i reach for this a lot as it gives my cheeks a beautiful warm blush of color. Guipure is my favourite tho..

I f you love pink , and then you love pink blushes, this is the ultimate blush set for you. The three colors in this palette are all matte and very pigmented.
   Pink Parfeit: A soft berry rose;
 Pink Ice: A super bright neon pink;
  Pinktini: A  pigmented dark raspberry.
This blush palette is lovely and i use pink parfeit the most. The colors are all extremely pigmented and you only need a little to get some color. At first i had a problem with this blush because it was just too pigmented and i didnt know not to use a lot but when i use this now i know to tap my brush gently, dust it off, then apply lightly. I can then gently build up as much color as i want.
PACKAGING: These blushes come in a sleek black rectangular case that snaps tightly shut. Each palette has three blush compartments inside. On the reverse side of the case are the names of each blush included. I thought this sets should have come with a complimentary blush brush but i guess sleek doesnt have time for that so... ;S . People probably wouldnt use it anyway but it would have been nice. The only problem i have with this packaging is that it gets dirty a lot. ;S I had to give these a good wiping to take these pictures. Every other thing is fine tho.
PRODUCT: At first glance, these blushes look scary!! They are super pigmented. Over pigmented even. When i opened up pink sprint and saw that pink blush i was like HELL NOOO!! I did like the other colors so i decided to pick it up. A part from the fact that they are very pigmented, these blushes are very pretty, the staying power is awesome and i love them a lot.
PRICE: These blushes are very affordable surprisingly for the quality of them. I purchased them for N2500 but you can purchase them from any makeup store that stocks them or KONGA.
I want to get some more colors, maybe PUMPKIN and SWEET CHEEKS.... Does anyone have those? What do you think?
Thanks for Stopping by!!

MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in "Gold Deposit" Review

Hello Everyone!!! Happy December!! Season 's Greetings!! I have been waiting the longest time to say that! :D. I LOVE December because of all the fun it brings and most especially its my birthday moth! *twirllllsss* :D.

So this beautiful december morning,* it makes me happy ...REALLY* I will be doing a review on one of my favourite products EVER!! This is funny because this product is not a neccessity and is not an essential makeup need but i HAVE TO HAVE IT. Ladies meet my best friend.. Mac Gold deposit Bronzer/highlighter/shimmer/ everythinggg!!

What MAC says: A luxurious velvet-soft powder with high-frost metallic finish. Smoothes on: adds buffed-up highlights to cheeks, or an overall ultra-deluxe polish to the face.
PRODUCT: This product is very pigmented, shimmery and catches the light beautifully. I  love to use this product on the high point of my cheeks, my forehead tip of my nose, chin and chest. It gives a  lovely golden/ bronze tone to the skin. It is also fit for day time and night time and looks great under direct sunlight. It is very easy to apply, longlasting and the texture is soft and glides on beautifully on the skin. Please ooo try not to use too much of this so you dont end up looking like a disco ball. A little goes a long way with this to achieve the right effect.
PACKAGING: This product is enclosed in a black circular plastic container with a clear case top which allows you to view the product. The brand name and product type is boldly printed on the top which  snaps tightly shut and it not a hastle to open. This is good to protect the product.

PRICE: This was  purchased for me for $30 dollars. This product can be purchased from the MAC stores at  Ikeja mall and Lekki Palms. I believe this product retails for N6000 or less.
Overall, I love this bronzer and this is definitely a must have!! If this EVER finishes or gets lost which never happens with my makeup, i will definitely repurchase this, I have been eyeing "lightscapade" for a while now. I might just grab that.
Thanks for Stopping by and have an amazing monday!
