REVIEW: COLOURPOP ULTRA MATTE LIQUID LIPSTICKS

Hello Guys!!
I did a little Colourpop lippie haul a few weeks back. Now Colourpop is at the top of their game right now and they are releasing new colors and collections every other day. For the price, what's not to love? Before i picked these up, i did some research on the colors i felt would suit my skin tone as there where just too many to pick from.

Colour pop released 25 shades of liquid lipsticks and at a later date, released 8 new shades. You know those sold out in a flash! I was able to purchase 7 shades from the first set and 1 shade from the second. I got Mars but i had already taken these babies their group picture and i really didn't feel like doing it over again.
TRAP- DUSTY GREIGE
Trap is a good dupe for Lime Crime Cashmere and L.A Splash Ghoulish. This color slides on easy and dries to matte greige color. This color is such a popular alternative to nude now. They whole grey lip trend suits a variety of skin tones too, depending on how you apply it.It is super long lasting and i had no problems using this. You can even get away without a lip liner.
BUMBLE- DUSTY WARM TERRACOTTA
Bumble is a good dupe for LimeCrime Riot, L.A Splash Latte Confession and  Kat Von D Double Dare. This color is so pretty and flattering on all skin tones. I used this recently for a makeup look at it is just the prettiest color. It will look great with a peachy gold eye look and even an intense smokey eye.
TULLE- MAUVE BURGUNDY
Tulle is one of my favs from the bunch. It is such a cool 90s inspired color that looks great with  simple neutral eye and a sexy brown smokey eye. This is easy to apply, not streaky and does not move till you take it off. Gorgeous!!
LIMBO-DEEP CHOCOLATE BROWN
Limbo is a spot on dupe for Lime Crime Salem. This has to be one of the most spot on dupes i saw for it. I wanted to get Salem for the longest time but i kept holding off on it for some reason. The makeup gawds have told me why! This color is intense. I usually tend to stay away from such colors as i am a bright lip girl and deep colors tend to make me look older. With this, not so much. Same as the others with the consistency. Easy to apply and super longlasting. MAC Antique Velvet lipstick is also similar but not so dry. It can always be blotted down to erase the shine.
LYCHEE- BRIGHT WARM VIOLET
Lychee is a bright violet color that reminds me of Candy yum yum without the extra neon. I actually thought this was a dupe for LimeCrime Utopia but they are two very different colors. Utopia is more deep in tone. This color is very pigmented and stands out. If you are into brights this is definitely for you.
HIGHBALL- HOT RED PINK
Now Highball is a beautiful color!! I mean just look at it. But the formula, HORRIBLE!! It is super streaky and clumpy. I do not know how colourpop managed to mess such a pretty color up. I had to layer it about three times to get it even. After doing that, my lips became so heavy. I tried to move it a little bit and it just cracked on me. I was super dissapointed with this one. If you can skip this i advise you do, or wear it with a lip liner and apply just a tiny bit in the center.
BEDAZZLED- DEEP TRUE PURPLE

Now this is my best color from the 8 new shades released. This color is a star!!! This is the most vibrant true purple ever. I thought it would be a dupe for LimeCrime Pansy but it is deeper. The color is so pigmented i cannot even describe. If you follow me on IG(preciousbeautie) i did a look with this and it was just so nice. This color is one of a kind and the matte finish is everything. I highly recommend this color.

Thats it for my review guys! What colors do you like and have? Kindly let me know below.  I cant wait to get my hands on Kapow and Beeper. I have a big thing for nudes.

MYMAKEUPNG MASTER EDUCATOR SERIES WITH LABISI FOLAWIYO

Hi Guys!!!

Over the long weekend, i attended the makeup masterclass organised by MyMakeupNG and BeautyinLagos. The master educator series is a monthly event that will provide makeup enthusiasts the opportunity to learn from seasoned professionals. When i saw Labisi Folawiyo was up next i just had to attend. Her work is absolutely beautiful and i just had to see her in action.

The look she showed us was a shimmery smokey eye with glitters and a pale pink lip. I must say Labisi is really a pro at what she does. She was patient, in-depth and answered every single question she was asked with so much confidence and ease. I was very pleased with the turnout at the class. She really has a strong following and she deserves it.

I learn't some new tips and tricks and i can't wait to use them on both myself and my clients in the future.

I took a few snaps of my look outside. Lighting was perfect and i was feeling this lip color!!! :D

SUMMER MAKEUP BEAUTY FILE FROM MARKS AND CURVES

Hi Guys!
I have a post today sponsored by an upcoming  style gang called Marks & Curves.Marks & Curves is a Nigerian based premium clothing brand, dedicated to collecting exclusive stylish-apparels. The creative director had an idea to do a summer beauty file and the focus was on bright eyes, lips and nails. I was sent three lip products to review. Two of these products are from a makeup brand called MAKE cosmetics and the last is a lip gloss from Victoria Secret.

Before drafting this post, I went ahead to do a little digging on the brand and i was surprised i had never heard of them before. They carry a full range of beauty products and their products are high end for the price point they go for. I was looking at ma lippies like"Ohhhh we gonna have a ball for sureee" :D

Tulipa: A pastel pink with blue undertones.

Marks & Curves says: MAKE a statement in stunning colours that The Matte Lipstick from MAKE is both long-lasting , rich colour pigment, nourishing finish and hydrating at the same time. goes on easy but won't leave your lips dry and flaking. Their Tulipa shade is perfect for day looks--a blushing pink with tones of tangerine. Killer with all your picnic plans and peachy beach looks.

*Paraben-Free
*Fragrance-Free
*Preservative-Free

Tulipa is  a very pale milky pink color. I think it is really pretty when paired with a lip pencil of your choice. The lipstick should be a matte but as seen in the pics it is actually quite shiny and slides on the lips. I have no problems with it as i can always control it with a lip pencil.

Jakarta: A deep wine.

Marks & Curves says: MAKE a statement in killer colors that stay on all day till night. The Matte lisptick from MAKE is both long-lasting and hydrating at the same time. It goes on easy but won't leave your lips dry and flaking. Their jakarata shade is a deep plum. Perfect shade with bedroom eyes and dusk-till-dawn trouble making.

*Paraben-Free
*Fragrance-Free
*Preservative-Free

I really like how subtle this wine color is. It is not too intense and glides on easily. It gives a nice wash of color to the lips. It looks great with both a simple and dramatic eye look.

This lip gloss is a new non-sticky, high-luster formula in the season’s most kiss-worthy colors developed for easy application and maximum irresistability. Each purse deserves one. This lip gloss is so pretty and doesn't feel goopy on the lips. I love to wear this alone or over a coral/pinky lipstick and it gives it the most beautiful shine and added color.

MARKS & CURVES is very social so check them out guys and do some shopping too!

REVIEW: BLACK OPAL TRUE COLOR LIQUID FOUNDATION

Hi Guys!!

Now this is one draft i have been itching to post. Black Opal as we all know is a household makeup brand specially formulated for women of color. At some point, we have all had one or two products from their line. The brand's strength to me has been put to the test many times and i felt it had lost it's spot as the leading provider of beauty products for WOC but this product might just give it the boost it needs for a good brand revival. I am talking of  the new True color liquid foundation that is all the rave right now. Before i get into my review, let me tell you what the brand says..

WHAT BLACK OPAL SAYS: Keep them guessing with picture pore less skin. This lightweight, oil-free liquid foundation seamlessly blends to provide flawless coverage with a high definition finish. Exclusive pore less technology helps minimize the appearance of enlarged pores, controls excess oil and renews skin natural radiance. Oil, fragrance and paraben-free formula. Suitable for all skin types, including sensitive.

DAZZLEBEAUTIE: Before i bought this foundation, i had tried two other foundations from the brand. The stick foundation and the liquid foundation in a glass bottle( i cant remember the name). The stick foundation was a little too heavy for me and the liquid one transferred everywhere. One thing i never complained about was the shade match though. They both matched me perfectly and when i  heard about the new True color foundation i grabbed my shade in Truly Topaz.

Quite frankly, this has to be the best drugstore foundation i have ever tried. When i think of foundation and drugstore, these two don't sit well together with me, but whenever it comes to Black Opal, i am ready to give them a try. The shade match of this is  perfect. It says light to medium coverage but this covers blemishes and dark spots like a dream. I was super impressed. I didn't even have to use a concealer with this. I only applied a little more in the places where i need some extra coverage and i was good.

Now the one thing i was scared of was the oiliness. This foundation claims to be oil-free and it does live up to its claim in that department. I forgot to take my face primer out once and i was FORCED to wear my foundation without it (don't do that guys, it's not the best). This foundation blended well with my face oil and did not make me look like a grease ball!! HALLELEUYAH!!!! :D. I did blot about three times through out the day but i was fine with that and my pores where not all over the place. The packaging is really nice and it comes with a pump so getting the product out is very easy and not messy .This foundation is a low end dupe for the MUFE with a little more coverage if you ask me.

There are 12 shades in the range from Champagne Beige which is the lightest to Suede Mocha which is the darkest. I noticed they added three new color shades which have never been present in the other foundation ranges. The constant's have been Heavenly Honey, Truly Topaz, Nutmeg, Walnut and Carob. There is definitely something for every WOC out there. I plan on purchasing a few more shades to add to my makeup kit. I have really enjoyed wearing this foundation over the last few weeks and it has left me flawless each time. I love finding great products at pocket friendly prices.

WHERE TO BUY: MUAPRONG /BEAUTYKINK
PRICE:N3500
