Coastal Scents GO Eyeshadow Palette"LONDON" Review

Hi Guys!! Its friday again. Today i have a review of my first coastal scents eyeshadow palette. Coastal scents in an online makeup store that provides makeup for people on a tight budget but do not want to compromise quality. They provide makeup at great prices and with good quality. Coastal scents is better known for their 88,180 palettes which are very popular among makeup artistes, youtubers and bloggers.
Today I'm reviewing another one of the Coastal Scents Go Palettes. This is the London inspired palette, and is one of my favorites of all the cities. I like that it has both brighter and neutral colors!
What Coastal Scent says:Unleash your royal beauty with our London Go Palette. Inspired by England’s capital city this palette is an assortment of twelve highly pigmented matte and shimmer shadows. Achieve a princess worthy day or night look effortlessly with elegant neutrals, majestic purples, and valiant blues. .

PRODUCT: This palette is filled with nice blue, brown, purple, berry and black colors. It is also mixed with matte and shimmery shades. I also like that they threw in some neutral browns for good transition. In my opinion, this is a complete palette. I believe a palette that has the necessary shadows for the three points of the eye which include (lid, crease and browbone) are complete for me. There are some colors that arent very pigmented.(top right two). They do fall out  a little when applied but nothing a little control cant fix. My best colors in this palette are the purple and two black colors. They are very pigmented are look very great when applied.

PACKAGING: The shadows are contained in a matte black case with the coastal scents logo imprinted on the cover. It also has a mirror for convenience.Very attractive outer packaging with the map of England i presume. The eyeshadows are housed in a sleek black case which is not too bulky.

PRICE: I purchased for N3000. You can order on the coastals scents site by going to www.coastalscents.com

There are about other variations of this GO palette ... Paris , Moscow , Sydney ,Nuuk ,Cairo and Beijing. These are all equally gorgeous and there is definitely something for everyone. Overall i love this palette and i use it to create subtle looks for work.

Does anyone have this palette or any of the others?  Hope are you liking it so far?

Thanks for Stopping by!!

Maybelline Great Lash Mascara Review in "Blackest Black"

 Hello Everyone!!
Blogging is addictive o!! Yes i said so... I have fallen into a routine of posting on Mondays and Fridays but i wanted to review this today so here goes.
I only own two mascaras : Mac zoomlash  mascara and Maybelline Collossal which was included in the goodybag i received at the Maybelline Nigeria launch. Yes maybelline is in Nigeria... I am not a big mascara fan because i dont really care for them and all the volume they promise to provide. I do like a good coating over my very sparse lashes which have seen better days thanks to my incessant need to yank them off when they hurt.
I saw this mascara while doing some makeup purchasing when i travelled and decided to try it out. I had read it was good and it seemed like a good idea to try it out.
What MAYBELLINE says:
AMERICA'S FAVORITE MASCARA. NDITIONS AS IT THICKENS.O CLUMPS, NO GLOBS

Why You'll Love It

• America's favorite mascara conditions as it thickens
• Lash-doubling formula glides on smoothly to build great-looking lashes
• Lash-building brush makes it easy to get a full lash look without clumps or globs
• Contact lens safe
• Hypoallergenic
• Washable, available in Waterproof and Curved Brush

PRODUCT: This Maybelline’ Great Lash mascara is supposed to provide plump volume, conditioning as it thickens lashes. The lash doubling  formula is supposed to glide on smoothly to build great looking smudge-proof lashes. Maybelline also claims their lash building brush makes it easy to get a full lash look. This mascara is alright. It didnt do magic to my eyelashes but it gets the job done. It did plump my lashes a bit and i like how dark it is.
It does smudge a little bit and was a bit watery at first but it has slowly thickened after i opened it. I noticed the collosal did the same thing too.

PACKAGING : This mascara comes in a pink and green tube and has a  spoolie-type standard bristle brush . I like the packaging alot. Very pretty and colorful.

PRICE: I purchased this for an equivalent of N1800. I do not know the Nigerian price of this and i want to believe maybelline has set up their stands in leading makeup stores as i heard they would. I know maybelline does not have and will not have a stand alone store but i havent sighted their stands at any beauty stores i have been to recently... Maybelline whats up??

I quite like it. Or maybe i dont get excited over mascara.. ;S..Do you have this mascara? Let me know what u think.

Thanks for Stopping!!

CoverGIRL Queen Collection Bronzer in "Ebony Bronze" Review

Hello Everyone!! Hope you had a great weekend. Everyone is into the whole highlight and contour business. Its not a new thing to professional makeup artistes but to we makeup lovers it came out of nowhere.. Okay maybe somewhere or someone..the great KIM KARDASHIAN.. I remember looking at her pictures and going why is her face and nose so chiselled and how does she make her eyes look so bright... Wow she is gorgeous blablabla.... Well i found out its all make up!!!
Its a technique of using light and dark products to achieve concave and convex dimensions on the face.. This helps to attract and detract light from and to certain areas of the face thereby giving it more dimension.... Anyway i digress....
So todays post shall be a brief review of a product i bought to contour.. This product is non other than the Cover girl queen collection bronzer in Ebony Bronze. This product is not new, well maybe new to Nigeria and i managed to get my hands on this. This product come in three colors.. Light Bronze, Brown Bronze and Ebony Bronze.. Ebony bronze being the darkest of the shades..

WHAT COVERGIRL SAYS:Mineral-enriched formula pampers skin and controls oil, for a sun-kissed glow without the shine. Beautifully matches skin tones from Rich Sand to True Ebony.
Plus, we're so sure you'll love COVERGIRL Queen Collection Natural Hue Bronzer, that if you're not satisfied with the results, well refund your money. ( o_O OOOOOOK)

PRODUCT: This bronzer is very pigmented and has a little sparkle in it. It is the darkest color in the collection of bronzers and i feel this is a little too dark for me. I should has tried the Brown Bronze. Even with a light hand it gives off a muddy and reddish color after a while. I tried using this as a crease color and i quite liked it. Im not saying this wont look nice on other people or people with same skin tone or darker skin but for me it  looked a little too muddy. I applied this with my Contour brush from  real techniques and this was the result.

PACKAGING:Cute packaging, in a clear top compact case. Didnt come with a brush or anything. Snaps shut. Thats all!! :D

PRICE:N2500.
WHERE TO BUYMYMAKEUPNG
Generally, i think this product is fair.. i would rate it a C+. I dont like it as much as i thought i would.I tried using this around the perimeter of my forehead and ooohhh no, i looked so wierd and it didnt look good in pictures at all..I will stick to using this only on my cheeks for now. Who knows i might fall in love with it later.

Review: BlackUP Mattifying Fluid Foundation

Its Friday again so that means another review. This review is a long awaited one because i have been using this product for a while but i never actually had my own bottle of it. Haha . My sister is a huge blackup foundation lover so she always had an extra bottle of foundation at home and i has access to it. Hey!! you cant beat tha free stuff! ;)

In all honesty, i had never tried or heard of the brand BLACKUP till my sister brought this product home. I was like where did you get this foundation and she said they have a stand in Montaigne place and i went to check it out. This was about two years ago.

So the gist about this makeup brand is that it was founded in Paris, the year was 1999 by a professional makeup artist of African ancestry. According to them, this is is the first premium brand to enhance the look of black women and all women of colour. It offers luxurious skin care and makeup focused on modernity, elegance and innovation.
Every black|Up product is developed and formulated to answer the specific needs of women of colour and to enhance their natural beauty.
(All this gist was culled from their facebook page)

So about their foundation this is what they say:

What BLACKUP says: This moderate coverage second-skin foundation has an ultra-light, oil-free texture that is virtually undetectable, giving dull, tired complexions a radiant, luminous glow with a matte finish and long-lasting finish. Available in an exceptional range of natural-looking shades that respond to the needs of ethnic women, to embellish and perfect skin with the utmost discretion.
    • • Gives radiant luminosity to a dull, tired complexion
    • • Light texture that moisturizes skin
    • • Oil-free, alcohol-free, fragrance-free
    • • Mix small amount of Fluid Foundation with your day cream to accentuate skin's natural radiance and for a more natural look

PRODUCT: The first time i wore this foundation,i was very  impressed. It is oil free and i have the worst oily skin ever. I put on my primer(very important ladies) applied, and this foundation matched my skin perfectly.. OMGGG i was so happy because i always had issues with foundations leaving a white cast on my face( revlon colorstay im side eyeing you).. This foundation applied smoothly and did not make my face oily for a few hours. I must say after a while you will get shiny but nothing a little blot paper cant fix. It gives medium to full coverage depending on my much you want. I usually start off with two pumps for my whole face and add more if i feel some places need more coverage. BLACKUP offers this particular foundation in 14 shades from FL01-14 a-la their website. The first shade i used was FL04(my sisters) but i found that it has a red undertone and after a while it made me look dark. I was gifted this shade in FL03 for my birthday and this suits me PERFECTLY!!!It has a yellow undertone which is great for me .  Ladies if you are looking for that dream foundation, look no further, go to the stand and get matched. You will love it!

PACKAGING: The product comes in a clear plastic case with a pump. I like this as i can control the amount of product that comes out. It is lightweight and not too bulky. I have no problems with spilling whatsoever. It is simple and functional.

PRICE: This was a gift as i didnt purchase it but it costs N6900. For some this is quite pricy and the general prices of their products also but this particular product is worth the price if you ask me. BlackUp  launched its first stand alone store in Nigeria at The Ikeja City Mall so if you are interested head over there and get matched.. They also have their stands at all Montaigne Place outlets all over Nigeria.

Has any one tried this product? How do you like it? Ive been meaning to try the primer and also some blushes and lipsticks. Im somewhat of a product snob for some items because i cant justify purchasing a blackup lisptick for say N4000 when i can go to my trusty mac counter  and pick a similar shade. Kindly let me know if there are any shades you like so i can check them out. Thankies.
Thanks for Stopping by!!

MAC Heroine Lipstick Review!!!

Hey Guys!! Happy New week!!
I guess i've fallen into a pattern of posting on mondays and fridays now... Helps me keep my blogging in check and gives me something to look forward to at the beginning and end of the week.

Anyways, last week i posted a long awaited makeup look. Today i will be doing a review of the oh so famous, highly coveted, most wanted, Almighty purple lipstick ever!!! Mac Heroine... This lipstick , prior to being made a permanent lisptick has been included in two collections and quickly sold out. It was first released in the Reel Sexy collection and later the fashion sets collection.
Oh but you know i definitely missed out on both collections and it did not shock anyone to know that this lipstick sold out quickly.
My dearest MAC Cosmetics finally decided to make this a member of their permanent collection and you know all MAC fans around the world where very happy including me.
PRODUCT: Herione is a bright "MATTE " purple. It is a matte but still apllies well, isnt drying, last a good 4-5 hours for me and leaves a pretty stain after it fades or you wipe it off. When i first got this lipstick i had that 'Oh finally"feeling. I think that happens when you want something for so long and when you eventually get it you dont care anymore...  I thought i would love it but i just like it. I am happy that i do have this color in my collection because it is a unique shade and i am slowly becoming somewhat of a lipstick collector.

PACKAGING: Comes in the standard MAC bullet packaging.

PRICE: I believe this can be purchased from the MAC store now. I purchased mine from my favourite online makeup store MYMAKEUPNG for N3500. They will be restocking so do check out (stalk)the site if you are in Nigeria and are interested.
Thanks for Stopping by!!

As much as i shy away from red lipstick i think this really looked good on me and i wanted a reason to put the Naked palette to the test. This lipstick is very different from Ruby woo.
