GO CURLY WITH TWISTED SISTA CURL ACTIVATOR

Hi Guys,

Hope you all had a great weekend. Remember when Anne Elise sent me their gorgeous hair to review, i was also sent this activator to help with maintenance of the hair. I used this product through out the duration i had the install in and i wanted to drop a quick review for anyone who has hair of that kind and wanted a little hair care product advise.

What TWISTED SISTA says: Twisted sista activator puts the life back into tired, frizzy curls.  Designed to nourish and revive hair to deliver volume, bounce and perfect curl definition to all curly hair types.

Directions: Apply a generous amount into your hands after washing hair and run through wet or dry hair from root to tip.  Apply more if needed, depending on hair type. What Instantly activates curl. Non-greasy formula adds volume and contains a UV filter.

DazzleBeautie: All through the time i had my super curly hair on i used this product and it gave me beautiful and lustrous curls . I mainly focus this on the tips of the hair and work halfway to the top. I didn't want the hair to feel heavy. This product feels like a cream and does not weigh down hair at all. It also dries quickly once applied. You don't need too much, just a little will do the trick depending on how full your hair is. Remember to start from the tips and work all the way up if you have to. It says to start from root to tip but i think the reverse is better for me. It helps with control of the product. I would also recommend using this once a day. Dont go too crazy with this guys. It says that it can also be used on natural/ relaxed hair so if you are either of these with super curly hair this is your baby.

There are a ton of curl activators out there. Even Water o!! It works trust me. LOL But this is the first product i have tried and so far i really like it a lot. I would definitely love to get my hands on more of this product. Unfortunately, its not in Nigeria yet but i hope a beauty store carries this soon.

PRICE: 1.99 POUNDS
WHERE TO BUY: Walgreens, Superdrug, Target, RITE AID

Does anyone know of any other curl activators? I would love to know what you all use.

Thanks for Stopping by!!

TAME THOSE EDGES WITH CREME OF NATURE ARGAN OIL PERFECT EDGES

Hi People,
I know a ton of us have issues with our edges. No one wants unruly edges with that new install. So we know how after that relaxer, say two weeks after, your leave out and edges are just not as laid as they were when you first got that perm. I cannot stand it when my hair looks a mess. Especially the front. While on the hunt to find a solution to this i came across a ton of pomades, gels, puddings, edge controls and what not.

I read a review of this and a few others and decided to give this a try.

What CREME OF NATURE says: Creme of Nature with Argan Oil Perfect Edges hair gel infused with Argan Oil controls and holds down edges, while moisturizing and adding Exotic Shine.

Controls & Holds down edges
Moisturizes and gives Exotic Shine
Infused with Argan Oil from Morocco

Creme of Nature with Argan Oil Perfect Edges hair gel infused with Argan Oil from Morocco controls and holds down edges, while moisturizing and adding Exotic Shine to the hair. This nutrient- rich formula makes hair stronger and gives superior hold without flaking. Perfect for creating sleek, smooth styles, ponytails, sculpting & styling the hair. Great for natural & relaxed hair!

How to Use:
Apply to edges & smooth with fingertips, small toothbrush or brush for desired look and hold.
Pro Tip:
Perfect for smoothing and molding the edges, nape & sides of short hair cut styles. Can also be used to spike and shape short hair.

DazzleBeautie: I got this after i tried the olive oil edge control and that was a total disaster for me. I would put it on, yesss my edges would lay but they would turn white and my hair would be stiff. I would literally have to comb it out and wash my front hair every time. I got the perfect edges because it has argan oil we all know the rave about this argan oil thing.

Firstly, this does nothing for my edges. When i first apply it, it lays my hair down but give this a few minutes and my edges are up and away. This product is also oily and makes my forehead too greasy. I am quite dissapointed with this and i really don't think i will be repurchasing when i run out of this.

Does anyone know any good edge control lotions? I would love to try them out.

Thanks for Stopping by!!

REVIEW: MAC LIPGLASS REVIEW/SWATCHES

Lychee Luxe: Pinky coral with gold shimmer
Angel: Light warm pink
Rebel: Mid tonal cream plum
St germain: Pale Cool toned pink

Hi Guys,

So, these lip glasses i got because i wanted to expand my lip glass collection. I know i know do i really need any more makeup. YESSSS!! :D I noticed a lot of people complain about the MAC lip glasses and say they are sticky and all that other stuff. I think they compliment the lipsticks very well and help to give your lip color a little twist sometimes.

After i decided to purchase some "glauses",you know i couldn't just get one(blame the addiction), i ordered LycheeLuxe, Angel, Rebel and St Germain. Everyone of these except Lychee luxe came out with the fashion sets collection and guys i was dying to own them all!! The concept behind the collection was so cute. If you guys don't remember, it was basically grouping perfectly coordinated lipsticks lip glosses and nail polishes in different textures and finishes that where most popular in different regions of the world. I think these where from 2012 because the 2013 summer collection lippies where Ablaze, Heroine, Silly and Embrace me. Those caused a frenzy as well. I got them all except Silly. I digresssss LOL

A little info on the glosses below...

LYCHEE LUXE: This is described as a pinky-coral with golden shimmer. Now this lip glass has been around for a long time. Itis actually one of MAC's best selling lip glasses. It is a peachy coral without being too orange and it is not as sticky as the others. Applying this for me was so easy. I didn't have trouble  navigating it around my lips too much. The shimmer catches the light beautifully and it has quickly become a fav of mine.

ANGEL: This is described as a light warm pink. In all honesty, i got the lipstick a few years back because of Kim Kardashian. I was on every beauty site/blog that this was her favorite MAC lipstick and every babe that heard this just had to get her some. Me inclusive. I honestly don't even wear the lipstick anymore. I decided to get the lip glass as motivation and this is a really pretty cool pink. It has a frost finish even though it i'snt all that frosty. It can look milky if you over apply this so i advise not to put too much on.

REBEL: This is described as a mid tonal cream plum. This is more berry red to me than plum. It is a tad bit reddish with a slight hint of purple too. This lip glass matches the lipstick perfectly. It is quite opaque but i must say this doesn't apply too evenly. If you look at the lip swatch above you will see how the color transfers more to my top lips.  I had to do a little work to get it right. It really is a pretty color though. This gloss will look great on any skin tone also. Do try it out, don't let the color in the tube scare you. I thought it would be dark but it is not at all. It is long lasting and you can totally wear this alone for a hint of color to your lips.

SAINT GERMAIN: This is described as a milky pale cool-toned pink. It is semi-opaque, but it applies fairly unevenly and settles into lip lines quite a bit. Honestly, i got this lip glass because i have been tempted too many times to get the lipstick but i know it will not look good on me. But that pink is so pretty!!! Ahhhh  guys i don't even want to wear it with a lip liner even though it looks too much like my peptobismol i take for heartburn. To me it even looks a little funny on caucasian people. I advise not to use this lip glass alone. It will look super milky and off if you do so. Do layer on a pink lipstick or any color of your choice for an added punch. Also ,don't forget to line your lips. I only apply this on the center of mine, smack together and i'm all done.

Does anyone own any of these? Do let me know what you think of them /MAC Lip glasses in general. I know they can be a little goopy but the staying power is awesome and i personally know how to make them work for me.

PRICE: N3550

WHERE TO BUY: KONGA.COM  CLICKHERE .
I dont know if the MAC store still has these. I never thought to check but you can buy them from Konga. They also have a ton of other MAC lipglasses and i prefer the convenience.

Thanks for Stopping by!!

REVIEW: SLEEK STUDIO SKINCARE RANGE

Hi Guys,

As much as we love makeup and are carried away with all the foundations and stuff out there, we forget that these products may affect us especially people with sensitive skin. Lets leave all the cute stuff for one second and focus on skin for a bit. I must confess, i have neglected my skin a couple of times and this led to me having some crazy outbreaks and the like. From then on, i made sure to pay more attention to my skin because when you have flawless skin you have flawless makeup.

So along with the Sleek makeup i received a while back with the amazing Flash-a-pout Lip stains, i got some skin care products as well. Four products from their exfoliating range and one from their lightning range. I have been using some of them religiously and i have even finished the Cleansing foam and i'm over half way into the face scrub.

WHAT SLEEK SAYS: Sleek Studio Skincare range comprises of 2 main Products : Exfoliating Range and Lightening Range.

The Exfoliating Range :This is for individuals who do not actually want to lighten but only want their true skin colour to show forth. This range eliminates dullness and allows bright natural colour to show through. This comprises of 5 products namely; Come clean , scrub away my troubles, protect me restore me, Neu skin reveal , Neu skin reveal more.

The Lightening Range: This range has been produced with high quality lightening agents that do not damage the skin. This is for those who wish to lighten thier skin and will have to borrow one or two items from the exfoliating range to chieve maximum results . This comprises of 4 products namely; Clean n Lightn, Tone n Lightn , Lightning in a bottle and Lightning in a jar.

COME CLEAN: This face wash is amazing. I love how it comes out as a mousse and it lathers very well. It makes my face squeaky clean and smells absolutely awesome. I will definitely repurchase this product. I hear this doubles as a makeup remover but i haven't tried that yet.

SCRUB AWAY MY TROUBLES: This face scrub is mixed with dead sea minerals and i must say it really gets in there and gets the dead skin off my face. When i apply this on i notice it does tingle a little bit. It also smells amazing. Very citrusy. After i was off my face, it feels velvety smooth and i really like this product.

NEUSKIN REVEAL: This cream is formulated especially for night use. It has fruit acids and i love this because i noticed it clears my face up. You know those tiny annoying rashes you may develop due to stress or skin neglect, this clears that off. It leaves my skin looking smooth.

NEUSKIN REVEAL MORE: This is a serum to the Night cream. They work hand in hand and i don't know if you can use this alone. I do not advise to anyway. Sqiurt a little on your hand and mix with the night cream for maximum results.

LIGHTNING IN  A JAR: This is a beauty cream  that helps to fight acne, reduce wrinkles and brighten dark spots and patches on the face. I hear this can be used as a makeup base but i doubt i will be trying that anytime soon. Not with my kind of skin. I tried using this cream once but its just too thick and heavy for me. It reminded me of POP and no one got time for that.  My face is too sensitive for it. It does smell okay but i don't really fancy this all that much. I once purchased the Lightning in a bottle but i stopped using it because it didn't work well for me. I was not pleased with that but i must also state again that my face is one of a kind.

Kindly check Konga and Jumia for individual prices of each

In general, I really like the above four products and i would repurchase again. I'm also glad that i do not need to look to fore

HAIR: ANNE ELISE REAL HAIR REVIEW

Hi Guys,

After makeup i love hair. I love long hair even though my natural hair annoys me because it's just not growing. I may have to try some Hair finity to get my life for that! I love to rock weaves and because of this i was really excited when i was contacted by a hair company called Anne Elise Hair asking if i wanted to do a review for them.  Since this was something i had never done before, i thought to give it a try as it would be fun.

After exchanging a few emails with Anne who is the owner, we met up for drinks and she gave me some information on her company. Firstly, i must say she is such a sweet lady and we had the most awesome conversation. Anne explained to me how she sources for her hair. She also showed me a video on how her hair is wefted and i was very impressed.  One important thing i like about her company is that she sources hair textures that compliment each other and blends them together! How cool is that?I know i have purchased some weaves that were just too silky for my liking and did not blend well with my hair even when newly relaxed.

ABOUT AERH: The company was started in 2006 and started providing hair from different origins. They went into machine wefting the hair as it ensured they were obtaining natural and pure ponytails and thus giving their customers the highest quality. It is from there that they developed the hair blends by blending hair types and origins to give certain and superior qualities.

Presently,Anne Elise is introducing hair textures which are very high quality hair that have been processed in a non chemical way to produce certain textures whilst avoiding the damage that chemical processing can do to the hair . It is essentially a meeting of great quality hair and favorite or desired hair patterns. Again providing the best of both worlds.

Currently, there are three hair blends /textures available on their website and a new one which i will be reviewing.

After our lovely chat, i was sent 300 GRAMS of the Anne Elise Classic Wave in 14,16 and 18 inches. It came in a natural hair color which is lighter at the tips. When i first opened the delivery box, i was amazed because the packaging and presentation was just AWESOME!!! The hair pack was placed in a very well made carrier bag with the company logo splashed over it. Now that's how u show your brand off. The main event itself was neatly placed inside a draw string satin bag for added protection. Also inside was a shower cap, a customized AERH paddle brush and Anne was sweet enough to include a bottle of 'Twisted Sista" because of the hair texture she sent! Thanks Anne!

Me rocking the hair!!!

ABOUT AECW:  This hair is naturally curly and very free stylish. It has a very bohemian vibe to it which i have never tried before. Oh well we all did the bohemian curls in school but this is not on the level of that HUNNIES!! This is "big geh hurr" LOL. This hair likes water so it may be worth wetting it often and then using the curl creme or a hair butter (light shea butter) or even a light based oil to seal it works very well to help define the curls. It dried quickly in the heat so don't worry about going around with wet hair.

DAZZLEBEAUTIE: I saw this on Anne and i personally requested to review this because i was very interested in trying out this wave. It is not a very popular style especially in long lengths but this hair holds so well. It is very soft to touch and the curls are just so pretty. No funny smell very soft and full bodied. As i said above Anne sent me a tube of Twisted sista which is a curl activator. Its puts life back into tired, saggy curls delivering volume, bounce and curl definition to naturally curly, afro or permed hair. You don't need a lot just a little and i always like to work the product from the tips upward. I must say wearing curly hair is high maintenance and if you want your hair to look great through the duration you have it on you have to take care of the hair. This is no "shake and go" hair.

TIPS:
-DO NOT BRUSH THIS HAIR!! Kindly use your fingers to run through it. Brushes are banned o! You can run a wide tooth comb through it when the hair is wet to detangle any tangled hair which i havent experienced with this at all!

-Be sure to condition your hair starting from the tip upwards. This works for me better.

-Do not use a heavy hair oil or serum on the hair so as not to weight it down and make it look shiny.

-Mix a little leave in conditioner with water , fill in a tear drop spritz bottle , shake well and spray on the hair. Try not to drench the hair too much o so you don't end up looking like a puppy. Douse the hair in enough of the mixture to activate the curls, arrange as desired and leave to air dry.

My hair looks really full in the pictures and i tell you i did not use up the whole 300 grams o. I used a little over 200 and it is still so full and pretty. I am against getting my weaves cut up at the salon because they start to shed and i just don't like my hair in different pieces but i had no choice. A 100 g pack of hair is very full and i love that. I am loving it and i know all the ladies who love full hair or want to try out something new will absolutely love this.

PRICE: This hair as other textures ranges between N15,500-N24,000 depending on individual length preferences. It is very affordable for the quality. There will be closures to match the hair types shortly so do check their IG page and website for updates on these.

If you are interested in purchasing this hair or want to know more about this  company, Kindly contact Anne Elise using any of the mediums below

They deliver all over Nigeria and offer hair coloring services for just N5000 so if you want to revamp your hair or go for a different look they can definitely hook you up.

I really love this hair and i cant wait to try something else. Maybe a straight one, or something with a lot of color. What do you guys think? Does this hair suit me or NAH?? LOL

Sidenote: Wouldn't i make a great HAIR MODEL?? ;D
