L.A Girl PRO Conceal H.D Review

Hello Everyone!!

Hope you had a lovely weekend. Today, i will be sharing with you a detailed review on a product i  recently started using and i am really enjoying. It gives a flawless look to the face especially the undereyes. It has been compared to other high end brands (Mac's pro longwear concealer and Makeupforever)  which i thought was overhype but i guess a trial convinced me.

If you are looking for a HD concealer that is inexpensive and works great, look no further. L.A Girl Pro Conceal HD is here to the rescue. ;D

This concealer comes in 18 different shades with under tones to suit everyone. No matter you skin tone/ undertone there is a color for you. Several colors even! Depending on what part of the face you want to use it on. Ones of the major reasons why i like this product. I went online and did some research of the shades that were very similar to the products i  use presently and this guided my purchase. This really helps guys. Especially in Nigeria.

TIP: If you cannot get your hands on testers of a products you want to purchase, do check online (makeup forums, youtube, blogs) etc. There are usually product/shade comparison charts and they have never failed me.This is not to say they are always 100% accurate but this helps a lot.

I picked up three of the shades closest to my skin tone:

FAWN (dupe for Mac NC45 concealer)
WARM HONEY
COOL TAN (dupe for Mac NC43 concealer)

FAWN is my exact skin tone match, WARM HONEY is a shade lighter than fawn but with a more yellow undertone while COOL TAN is about three shades lighter than my skin tone. I use this just for highlighting. You may have to mix and match shades if you cannot find your exact shade match.

What L.A Girl says:

Crease-resistant, opaque coverage in a creamy yet lightweight texture. The long-wearing formula camouflages darkness under the eyes, redness and skin imperfections. Provides complete, natural-looking coverage, evens skin tone, covers dark circles and minimizes fine lines around the eyes.

This product comes in a squeeze tube with a screw cap top. When you twist open, there is a little brush applicator . I have two things to say about the packaging. A pro and a con. I  like it because it is easy to carry about and you do not need to worry about it messing up your makeup bag because the screw cap top handles that and also it is very convenient to use. On the otherhand, i do not like it as i find the brush applicator to be a little unsanitary because the bristles store excess product. I would advise to wipe off as much excess as you can before closing the cap of this product.

This concealer provides medium to full coverage. It stays on all day and  does not crease. I have experienced the "Nightmare of the creased undereye" guys and it is NOT cute...I was worried this product would do that but because it is water based, it dries quickly and stayed put for hours. It is also great for COMBINATION/OILY skin sisters like me because is dries to a matte finish. It is lightweight and does not feel heavy on the face.

Also, a little goes a long way. I use just a bit of the product, blend in and this works perfectly. You do not need to apply a lot to get your desired coverage. Overall, this concealer is a great product and very good for makeup beginners who are thinking of purchasing a concealer.

Price : I purchased for N1200 from MYMAKEUP . Giftys daughter stocks this as well..  Originally retailing for $5 on the L.A Girl website, you can score this for $2.50 on Cherry culture and Beauty joint for 50% off.

I hope this concealer works for you as well as it has for me.

Thanks for Stopping by and have a lovely week !

Wet N Wild Color Icon Eyeshadow Palettes Review

Hi Guys,

Its the WEEEEK-EEENNNDD!! . Happy Friday! TGIF!

To end this lovely week, i will do a little review of these Wet and Wild palettes i got recently. Everyone knows wet and wild. Its a drug store brand that is very C and C!! (cheap and cheerful).

These palettes where brought to my attention through other makeup bloggers and i  really wanted to try them out.The pictures i saw where just absolutely stunning and i had to have them. Unfortunately, these are very hard to find in Nigeria. Was it not my day when i walked into a perfume/makeupstore and saw these babies!! I was so excited , i quickly picked them up.(I honestly went in there to get perfume :/)

I purchased :

736 PETAL PUSHER
738 COMFORT ZONE
333 I GOT GOOD JEANS (trio)

I didnt find BLUE HAD ME AT HELLO :(

What WET N WILD says: Eight dynamic, perfectly color-coordinated shades with high pigment and pearl for ultra-impact color. Shades can be used together or individually to create an endless variety of looks. .

 COLOR ICON PALETTES

 COLOR ICON TRIO

PRODUCT: These eyeshadows are very pigmented, easy to apply and blend very well. Okay honestly a little too pigmented if you ask me. But heyyyy! Im not complaining :). All you have to do is apply with a light hand and in little strokes and you are good to go. There was little or no fall out when i used these but please use a shadow shield when applying ;). They give awesome color payoff and do not crease. (Dont forget your eyeprimer ladies).

PACKAGING: The palettes comes in a plastic compact case with a transparent top that snaps tightly shut. I love this beacuse i hate when my eyeshadows break. It's not heavy and will tuck well in your makeup purse or bag. There are 8 colors in each palette, 4 colors on each side which kind of belong to the same color family. I think they were made that way so people can easily know what colors to play with.

Overall, i love these eyeshadows but the only thing i donn't really fancy is that there are no proper transition colors or matte colors in these palettes. All the colors are super pigmented and if you are a "three -four eyeshadow at a time girl", you will have to reach for other eye shadows or palettes to work with these. But you can totally wear one or two of these colors on your lids and thats it. I saw the new matte palette online and it has some great transition colors. That will be great to work with these and create more subtle looks.

I purchased the palettes for N1500 and  the trio for N1000 which i think is fair. A little more expensive than the original price but not bad still. For a drug store brand, these are really worth having.
If any one knows where i can get more of these palettes do let me know pleassseee!!Comment below ladies.

Have an absolutely lovely weekend and Thanks for Stopping by!

Maybelline Launch Giftbag Goodies !!!

Hi Guys!
Last friday i attended the Maybelline Launch in Nigeria and i was very excited. It seems like all my favourite foreign brands are coming into the country (e.g MAC) and i am really excited about this. No more stressing to get all the lovely products you want. :D
The event was absolutlely lovely and classy and we were gifted some goodies on the way out....
Pics below...

Maybeline The Colossal Volume Expess Mascara

Maybelline 6H The Collosal Kajal

Maybelline BABY LIPS in "Cherry Me"

Mascara: Honestly, Im not really sure about this mascara. The formulation is a little too watery. It does dry quick after application but i prefer my mascaras a little thicker .I have tried a few Maybelline mascaras and i will say this is a fair product if you dont want extra plump lashes. I have used the "THE FALSIES" and "LAST STILETTO" and those do a fairly better job on my lashes than this did. I think maybelline mascaras should not be used immediatly  after opening them , wait a while and use them. They work better on the lashes that way.

Collossal Kajal: This eyepencil is great!! I have used this for a few days and it does not smudge on my lower lash line. I also love the decent twist up packaging and the intense black color. This is a must have and i will definitely repurchase when i have exhausted this.

Baby Lips: I had read reviews on this product on some blogs but i thought this was probably just another 'chap stick with a pretty packaging and a cute name". It states that this product is meant to give you less dry, more supple and better looking lips.Yeah like "Baby lips" :D

I must say this glides on so softly on the lips and is very moisturizing. It does not feel waxy or thick at all. It also has a sheer tint to it which is fine by me. I love when balms give a little color payoff to the lips. I also love the packaging. Its very pretty and smells divine.:)

Thanks Maybelline for the goodies and Thank you for Stopping by! :D

Zaron Moisturizing Lipstick Review

Hello Everyone,
Sorry for the silence. I have been very busy with work. I do apologize. Today i have a review from a haul i did quite a while back and i have been meaning to post. When i first got these products i took pictures of them and completely forgot about it. I started using the products and remembered i hadnt posted. When i finally decided to , i didnt like the pictures i took anymore
:( . I had to retake my used products. DO FORGIVE ME.

What ZARON says: ZARON is a brand dedicated to the enhancement of the wellbeing and quality of lives of all people through the development, marketing, distribution and sale of quality lifestyle products. The brand was conceived in Leeds, United Kingdom in 2010 and began operations in Lagos Nigeria in September 2011.

As all other products i have come to find i discovered this online. I was a bit skeptical on purchasing this but eventualy gave in and purchased on DEALDEY.. I picked up four of the five colors they had and i must say i am quite impressed with these. It is MATTE which i really like, comes in a very sleek and simple case and very longlasting. It goes on smoothly and the colors are very pigmented. I thought i would be dissapointed but i like them. The one thing i will say i dont really like is the waxy smell. It doesnt have that Vanilla or strawberry scent lipsticks usually have but it fades after a few minutes. ZARON pls fix this. :(

L-R Pretty Pink, TinkyWinky, Tonee Red, Mystic
Pretty Pink- Bright Barbie Pink
Tinky Winky- Cool Tone Lavender (dupe for riri boy/up the amp I.M.O)
Tonee Red: Cool Toned Red
Mystic: Bright Orange

Without Flash

PRICE: The price of these are N1525 on the ZARON website but i purchased on Dealdey for N1k a pop! :) . Zaron products are all very affordable and i have good things to say about the ones i have tried. I hear their mascara is a winner too. I might purchase soon.

I also purchased all the lippencils which are ABSOLUTELY pigmented. I will show some pictures in another post.

Does anyone have these lipsticks? What do you think of them? Do let me know. :)

Thanks for Stopping by!
