BEAUTYAFRICA CONFERENCE DAY 1

MY AD!!! I WAS SUPER EXCITED!!!!
Hello Guys!!
I honestly do not know where or how to begin typing up this post about the Beauty Africa conference that just ended on Friday. First of all, last year's edition was the maiden edition  in Nigeria and if you thought that was BIG,this year was on a whole other LEVEL!!

Beauty Africa is the largest event dedicated to beauty and wellness industry in Nigeria and i was in awe of the number of international companies that came into the country for this event. There where well over a 100 companies both local and international.

When i walked into the hall, i was in awe..  I mean super impressed!! I didn't know where to start taking pics from or what direction to go first because it was just too much for me. In a good way that is.I walked round the hall at least twice to get a feel of the whole event, look out for some familiar face before i started taking pics. The organisation was way better than last year and there where well defines stalls for different brands. The flow through the hall was great for easy access and movement and the display and lighting was perfect. I had so much fun walking round the hall and taking pics for the blog. If you missed it, don't feel too bad! Your girl has pics for ya! *WINK*

I took a ton of pictures but i didn't want to make this post too pic heavy!!(Like it still isn't anyway.LOL) Unfortunately, i didn't attend any of the classes for day 1(there where two classes going on simultaneously) as i had to get back to work but i will share the those i attended from Day 2 in another post tomorrow!!

Hope you enjoyed the pics!

REVIEW:LIMECRIME VELVETINES LIQUID LIPSTICK REVIEW

Hey People,
Today i will be reviewing my mini limecrime veletines collection! Before i owned any Lime crime lippies, i was never really into the whole liquid to matte thing. Thanks to Instagram shoving the brand down out throats i found my self visiting the website and drooling over all the colors they had. My faves where Pansy and Utopia and i kept obsessing about these two because the colors are just so vibrant and i love my brights.

WHAT LIMECRIME SAYS: THE ORIGINAL LIQUID-TO-MATTE LIPSTICK!Texture of a rose petal... in a bottle! Velvetines go on liquid, but dry matte. Touch-proof, transfer-proof & utterly addictive.

UTOPIA: VIBRANT ORCHID
This color was one i just had to have! I had been eyeing it for the longest tome. It is such a vibrant pinky purple. It is not exactly either of the two. It shows up as a slight hint of both. It is superpigmented and possesses such powers! LOL. The staying power is great and it feels so smooth on the lips. Not heavy or drying. I also noticed that it was a little tough to find a dupe for this. It is such a unique color.

SHROOM: 90S BROWN

Shroom is a soft nude brown color. It is possibly the lightest shade of brown there is just before it tips over to a nude color. It blends into my lip color so well. It is a "my lips but better" shade on me. I love pairing this with a smokey eye. It dries to a soft matte color and is super long lasting too. I see people calling this a 'Poo colored shade" on IG. I find that hilarious! ;D.. Not on me though.

PANSY: DEEP PURPLE

Pansy is the most vibrant deep purple lippie ever. I always thought nothing could beat Mac Heroine but this definitely does. When  saw this i knew i had nothing like it in my collection and i had to have it. It brightens up the face and you have to be super bold to rock this color. It is not for the faint hearted but this is right up my alley. It looks best with a simple neutral eye to keep the color the focus of the look but you can always go crazy with it. There are no rules with makeup. ;)

That's it for my review guys. I want to get Pink Velvet and Red Velvet. I have enough red's in my collection but i think those are stable liquid to matte colors to own. Lime crime recently released two nee shades called Squash and Jinx. Jinx is right up my alley tho. I may purchase if i can't find a proper dupe. What are your fave colors? Do let me know.

PRICE: The lippies cost $20 but retail anywhere from 6000-6500 depending on the reseller.

REVIEW: COLOURPOP LIPPIE STIX IN BRINK

Everyone who knows me know's i do not play with my nude lippies. As much as i love my vibrant colors,i get super excited about nudes. No matter the formula be it matte, glossy, creme i am always willing to try it out ... I got some makeup from Colourpop recently and i did a little research on the nude lipsticks they have in their collection. I went on the site of a couple retailers here and i was able to get my hands on a color i liked called Brink!!

WHAT COLOURPOP SAYS: Brink is a warm dusty taupe in a matte finish. Curated by @brittanysuleiman. Inspired by the insta-famous Kylie lip.

DAZZLEBEAUTIE: This color is a pretty pinky nude. It is matte but not drying at all. It applies smoothly and the color is very pigmented. Just one swipe and you get really good color payoff. Be sure to exfoliate your lips before applying this as it tends to emphasize the lips a little. The product is encased in a twist up stick which i think is okay. Personally, i like my lipsticks in the traditional bullet cases but this is okay too. It is slim and fits well in my purse or makeup bag. This looks great with a neutral eye or a smokey eye. My fave lip pencils to pair this with are Cabernet by Bolwin cosmetics and Mac Currant.
