Makeup for ladies on a Budget (Drugstore)

Hi my darlings. Today i have a very special post for you guys. We all love great makeup and want our over all look to come out flawless and perfect every time . A lot of people believe that to achieve a flawless look, you have to spend a ton of money on cosmetics and purchase only high end brands. This is sooooo NOT TRUE.

Yes it is believed that you get what you pay for with some products, but this is not always the case. Some high end products do not always deliver and this can be quite dissapointing. (After spending so much money).. Today i will break down a list of my favorite drugstore products and also those i have read amazing reviews on. To find out, do keep on reading... :)

FACE PRIMER

Primers are absolutely neccesary and a very important step especially if you have oily skin like me!! I use the marykay face primer and it keeps me shine free for couple hours and my makeup doesn't slide off. This is a great buy for the price and delivers.

FOUNDATION

A lot of people say its hard to get a great drugstore foundation without breaking the bank! SO NOT TRUE! I use the Revlon colorstay foundation and i do prefer this to my Mac studio fix fluid. Gives a flawless canvas and doesn't stain/transfer (VERY IMPORTANT).

EYE PRIMER

For eye looks that pop every girl needs a great eyeshadow base or primer. Marykay's eyeshadow primer is fantastic. My eyeshadow stays on all day without creasing and my eyeshadow is more vibrant.

FACE POWDER

These powders are very affordable and give the face a nice and fresh finish. I have personally tried both and they are both great with good value for your money.
CONCEALER

To cover up those spots or brighen the under eye i would recommend these two drugstore concealers. They are both formulated for dark skin and for the price are both STEALS!! I switch my MAC studio finish for the black opal concealer and it Is honestly the same thing. I will review this soon. :D

BROW PENCIL

For those wont bring themselves to spend so much on a eyebrow pencil these get the job done!! All you have to do is choose the right color and you will get the perfect brows.

BRONZER/CONTOUR

For that chiseled contoured look without breaking the bank, the sleek contour kit is perfect. Is also comes  in three different shades. Light, Medium and dark. I use the Medium and this product it so easy to use. It gives me a lovely contoured face.

LIP PENCIL

Who doesn't love NYX?  These lipliners are super creamy and super cheap.

MASCARA

I know some people will ask why i chose not one but two mascaras from Maybelline. Well thats because for me Maybelline makes the best drugstore mascaras. I have used both mascaras and they add volume to my lashes. I am on my fourth "THE FALSIES" mascara. AMAZING STUFF!

LIPSTICK

On to my FAVOURITE PARRTT!!! LIPSTICKS!!  As much as i love my MAC lipsticks there are a couple of drugstore brands that do not dissapoint in the lipstick department. From rimell, wet n wild, maybelline to NYX they all have a variety of lipsticks(formulas and shades). Some of my favourites are Revlon, wet n wild and cover girl.

LIPGLOSS

For that pretty pucker  there are a ton of drugstore lipglosses to choose from. Some of my favourites are from Revlon(AGAIN) , sleek and victoria secret. I wear them alone or over lipstick to add a bit of shine.

EYESHADOW

Create different looks from subtle romantic eyes to smokey /dramatic looks with these drugstore brands. Loreal/Maybelline have the best drugstore eyeshadows in my opinion. Its a tie for both of them. :D

BLUSH

For a beautiful glow and a dash of color to my cheeks i always reach for my sleek blushes. They are highly pigmented and come in a beautiful array of colors.(My fav is pomegranate). Also the Milani blushes are very similar to the Mac mineralize skin finishes. I would suggest you save your cash with those. The milani ones are GREAT! :D

LIQUID EYELINER

For dramatic eyes i always reach for my Loreal liquid eyeliner. It gives me a very crisp line and dries to a matte finish. I also love the ELF liquid liner i just got recently and it was a bit overpriced considering it costs only 1dollar(purchased it for N1000) but i guess its not so bad.

I forgot to include my favourite drugstore gel eyeliner.I use the Loreal one also. This is ten times better than the MAC gel eyeliner.(I was totally dissapointed with the MAC one. It wasnt as dark and creamy as i expected. I still use it  but i make sure to use it as a base and top off with liquid liner.

So there it is guys. I hope you enjoyed this post. I'm always on the hunt for great/ cheaper alternatives to high end products and i will constantly share them with you all. What are your favourite drugstore products?

Thanks for Stopping by!

XOXO

Presh!
